Happy Valentines Day!

I've never been a big Valentines Day person. I had a friend and still have a couple who's birthdays fall on Valentines Day. I never know whether that is a blessing or a curse, or neither?

Valentines Day has been a "sad" day or known to be for a long time if you don't have a significant other in your life. And let me tell you, there is nothing wrong with being single. It is way better to be working on yourself and way easier than being in a relationship.

I'm not saying relationships aren't worth it, but what I am saying is, if you aren't anticipating to put in a lot of work, it may not be what you expect it to be. Life is hard, relationships are hard, understanding each other is HARD.

Maybe in another post I will add some of my favorite books on this topic of dating and relationships. Also the big difference in men and women and how they see thew world, for the most part. Right now I'm reading The Road Back To You by Ian Morgan Cron and let me tell you, IT IS SO GOOD! I want it for every single person I know. It is all about the enneagram and if you haven't heard of it yet, don't worry you're not the only one.

And pause before you decide to judge the personality tests or "self help" stuff going on. The ennegram has been around for hundreds if not thousands of years. How crazy is that? It is something that is very helpful, practical, and realistic to each persons unique personality. It is more complex than just that so I really highly recommend the book I talked about above. Ian and Suzanne Stable do an amazing job at debunking and simplifying the ennegram and helping us understand why it even matters.

Everyday We Must Fight To Be Light,

Taylor
